A life is lost in the United States to suicide every forty seconds. Twenty servicemen and women commit suicide every day.
I talk about solutions, and share my personal experience of those dark moments I considered suicide. With no way forward and no way back, what options did I have? When life became so small and unsafe, what was there to lose? Being in a state of heightened alert, waiting for the next assault was no way to live. “Not believing there was an answer, the desire to take that small step from my darkness to my demise seemed attractive, easy, and simple. Suicide was the easier, softer way.”
