I often confuse hope and faith.
Hope: a feeling of expectation and desire; wanting something to happen. I hope I’ll be OK; I hope I’ll be happy; I hope I’ll survive. Hope is an optimistic attitude of mind based on an expectation or desire.
Faith: confidence or trust in a person or thing or a belief not based on proof. Faith says it is so now and hope says in the future it could happen.
I think we should pin our hopes on faith and have confidence in ourselves. We can’t predict the future so let’s have faith in our ability to be OK today, to be happy today and know we’ve survived. We can hope for a better world for tomorrow.
